I am absolutely thrilled to announce the launch of Pain.Pause.Live. in English! After an extensive planning phase and the successful implementation of pain coaching groups in Germany under the banner of PAIN.PAUSE.LIVE., I am excited to extend our reach to the broader English-speaking community, especially those who, like us, know the challenges of chronic pain.
But you might be wondering, why the need for this initiative? The answer is simple yet pressing: there is still a considerable dearth of reliable information and an abundance of misinformation surrounding chronic pain. When I began my journey through the tangled labyrinth of chronic pain, I desperately wished for access to solid, up-to-date information on the subject - a different resource for chronic pain management. And now, it's time to change that. From this moment forward, I will regularly share concise blog articles about pain and the PAIN.PAUSE.LIVE. program.
These blogs will touch on various facets of pain management, delve into topics such as the psychology of pain, strategies to enhance your quality of life, and address common queries that arise during our group meetings. It's our aim to create an engaging mix of content that speaks to the collective experiences of our community.
In the coming weeks and months, we will be adding numerous features to this website, so stay tuned! Right now, our planning is in full swing, and we're committed to making this platform as informative and interactive as possible.

But here's the most important part: we need you! We encourage you to ask questions, leave comments, and suggest topics that you'd like to see covered. We're genuinely curious about what you want to know, so please don't hesitate to engage with us.
For those of you who are new to PAIN.PAUSE.LIVE., here's a brief overview of our project. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals living with chronic pain through a simple, structured, and highly effective psychological program. We've been building a supportive community of pain patients with the goal of empowering you to lead a purposeful and meaningful life, even in the face of chronic pain. Our program is founded on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a component of behavioral therapy that is extensively researched and scientifically validated, particularly in the realm of pain management. While it can be incredibly beneficial, it should not replace medical treatment or psychotherapy.
In 2022, we were honored to receive the German Pain Award for our contributions to pain science and therapy through the German version of PAIN.PAUSE.LIVE. This recognition by Europe's largest association of medical pain practitioners underscores the impact of our work.
Please note that all the advice you find in this blog is intended for informational purposes and should not be considered a substitute for medical treatment or psychotherapy. If you are struggling with chronic pain, we encourage you to use the information here as a foundation for discussing your situation with your healthcare provider.
If you're interested in receiving more information, please consider signing up for our newsletter through the provided form.
